For more than 20 years, Moffitt Cancer Center has been committed to the prevention and cure of cancer. A not-for-profit corporation, Moffitt is best known for its translational research, forging new discoveries out of the convergence of basic science, clinical trials and patient care.
In 2003, Moffitt began developing Total Cancer Care TM (TCC®), a comprehensive initiative to improve the standard of cancer care through individualized, evidence-based prevention strategies and treatment. TCC, patients, doctors, and researchers partner together to improve all aspects of cancer prevention and care.
In 2006, Moffitt entered a collaboration with Merck & Co. on a five year research initiative aimed to take Total Cancer Care to the next level. M2Gen, a for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary, will expand Moffitt’s efforts in research and biotech with an emphasis on advancing personalized medicine.
